Thank you for your interest in the Great Western Study Group. A membership application form can be downloaded by selecting the link at the bottom of this page. A copy of the group’s rules is also available.

We trust that you will take a little time to fill in this form and join us. In order to monitor the needs of Group members, we hope that you will give us details of your particular interests.

You can request to have your name, contact details, and interests appear in our published membership list. This enables members with similar interests to make contact so that information is more easily disseminated within the Group.

Membership of the Great Western Study Group commences on the 1st of January each year. Those joining after this date will be forwarded copies of all publications that have appeared in the year of joining.

All publications of the Great Western Study Group are kept available for purchase by members. To date, over 170 Newsletters, and 50 Journal issues (The Pannier) have been published, as well as several special publications, such as our well-regarded books on Signalling, Structure Colours, and Switch and Crossing Practice. Please see the relevant website pages for details of the currently available items and ordering details. Our books and the more recent periodicals will also be available from the GWSG’s sales stand at various model railway exhibitions throughout the year.
